Watch out for Mondays: the Goya and city museums close, but the Aljafería doesn't.

Plan around Monday

The city-run museums and the Museo Goya close on Mondays. The Aljafería palace stays open, and it's free on the first and third Sunday and Monday of the month. The Pilar opens every day.

The basilica, the palace and Goya

The Basílica del Pilar charges no entry. What you pay for is the tower, the museums and La Seo. The Museo Goya costs €14. The Aljafería costs €7, and from November to March it closes at 14:00 on Sundays.

Four Roman museums, one ticket

The Ruta de Caesaraugusta groups the Forum, the Theatre, the River Port and the Baths for €7 (€5 reduced). Bought singly, the Forum and Theatre are €4 each and the Port and Baths €3 each, so it already pays off with three. They open Tuesday to Saturday 10:00–14:00 and 17:00–21:00, and Sundays and public holidays 10:00–14:30. Note the midday break.

On Saturdays there's a guided tour at 11:15, except on the first weekend of each month.

Free entry at the Roman sites

The route's museums are free for over-65s and under-16s, and for everyone on 29 January, 23 April, 18 May and 12 October. The city website announces that the Museo Pablo Gargallo is temporarily closed for works, so check before you go.
