Painter by painter
- Velázquez and Goya. The Prado covers everything in the table. Saturn is one of the Black Paintings.
- El Greco. In Toledo, the Orgaz at Santo Tomé, which has its own ticket, and the Museo del Greco. In Madrid, the Prado.
- Picasso. Three stops: Guernica at the Reina Sofía; the Las Meninas series, donated by the painter himself in 1968, at the Museu Picasso in Barcelona; and the Museo Picasso Málaga, a separate institution.
- Dalí. The Theatre-Museum in Figueres is the main visit. The Reina Sofía will do if you're not leaving Madrid.
- Miró. The Fundació Joan Miró on Montjuïc and, in Madrid, the Reina Sofía.
- Sorolla. As of 4 November 2026, the house of the Sorolla Museum in Madrid is closed for works, and you can only visit its extension building, with free entry. Check what's on show before planning a visit.
One day in Madrid
The Prado in the morning and the Reina Sofía in the afternoon cover most of the table, but remember the Reina Sofía closes on Tuesdays. To add the Thyssen, look at the Paseo del Arte.
