Getting up Montjuïc

The Joan Miró Foundation stands on Montjuïc hill, served by buses 55 and 150 and the Montjuïc Funicular. On foot, the Foundation itself suggests routes through the park.

In winter it closes at 19:00 and last entry is at 18:30. The café-restaurant keeps the same hours as the galleries and has a terrace and garden, so you can stop without coming down the hill.

Online, combined or Articket

If you're paying, buy online: it's €1 less than at the ticket office. The reduced rate drops to €11 with a student card if you're 13 to 25, if you're over 65, or with a large-family or single-parent family card.

The free Bloomberg Connects app explains the main works and the building's architecture, so you don't need to pay for an audio guide to follow what you see.

Adding MNAC? Both are on Montjuïc and there's a combined ticket. With three or more art museums in the city, look at Articket: it costs €38 and also includes the Picasso Museum.

Espai 13 is free to enter.
