Most booked in Málaga

Picasso, the Alcazaba and the Roman Theatre on foot

The Picasso Museum, the Alcazaba and the Roman Theatre are a few minutes' walk from each other. Between them they fill a day, and the theatre charges nothing.

A Sunday without buying a ticket

Sunday works well for this. Get to the Roman Theatre well before 16:00, climb to the Alcazaba, free from 14:00, and finish at the Picasso, free for its last two opening hours: 16:00–18:00 from November to February. The Picasso's ticket office shuts half an hour earlier, so don't leave it late.

Day trips out of the city

Caminito del Rey: a full day. The route takes three to four hours. Book well ahead and sort out your transport first.
Nerja Caves: half a day, and EU citizens can get free places at 9:15.
Bioparc Fuengirola: a good choice with children, 600 metres from the Cercanías commuter train station.
