Russian Museum Málaga tickets

Russian art at the Tabacalera, no longer from the St Petersburg collection.

Still open, but it has changed: according to the city council, after Russia's invasion of Ukraine and EU measures it carried on with collections of Russian art from other sources, instead of works from the State Russian Museum in St Petersburg. Since 18 November 2025 it has shared the Tabacalera with MEET, a space with its own programme.

The name no longer tells you what's inside

For a decade this centre showed works from the State Russian Museum in St Petersburg. According to the city council, Russia's invasion of Ukraine and EU measures led it to carry on with collections of Russian art from other sources, and the door stays open to St Petersburg's return if relations are restored. If you're coming for those works, don't expect to see them.

Check the exhibitions before you go. The official name is Colección del Museo Ruso, and its website announces a show on Mikhail Glinka until 31 January 2027, one on Valery Katsuba until 15 November 2026 and the installation Consensus Ritualis until March 2027.

€4 or €8

Since 18 November 2025 the Tabacalera has also housed MEET, an exhibition space with its own programme. The Collection costs €4, MEET €6 and a combined ticket €8, so seeing both saves you €2. There's a free audio guide, available in English and five other languages.

Reaching the Tabacalera on foot or by metro

It's 3 km from the centre, on foot along Paseo Marítimo Antonio Machado. There's also a metro stop, Princesa-Huelin. The Automobile and Fashion Museum is in the same building.
