A ticket price that moves
The website publishes each day's rates, which change through the year. On 4 November 2026 the adult ticket shows €12. In February and May 2026 it was €15, and in June and September €18. The museum doesn't post a rate calendar on that page, so check your day's price just before you buy.
If another site quotes an exact price, see when it was written. On the November rate, students aged 18 to 25 and over-65s pay half.
Going independently
For plain entry, use the museum's website. Tiqets and GetYourGuide don't sell the basic ticket here, only guided visits and city packages. Since the audio guide comes with every ticket, a third-party product is only justified if you want a real guide.
If you're unsure, a guided tour with the ticket included is the simplest choice. Check the language: one on GetYourGuide runs in Spanish. VIP and private tours suit small groups who want to ask questions. Read what each one includes before you book, since some products offer only the ticket and a city audio guide.
Discounts and visit details
The easiest discount is on the last day of each exhibition: 50% off from 16:00 to 19:00. Staff start clearing the rooms 15 minutes before closing, so don't leave it too late.
With several days in town, the joint ticket with Bilbao Museoa gives you four days for the second museum, a short walk away. More options in museums in Bilbao.
Under-12s must come with an adult. Visitors with a disability pay the student and pensioner rate, and anyone they need as a companion gets in free.
Frequently asked questions
How much are tickets to the Guggenheim Bilbao?
It depends on the date. On 4 November 2026 the adult rate was €12, but the same official page has shown €15 and €18 in other months. Students aged 18 to 25 and over-65s pay half, and under-18s get in free.
Is there a free day at the Guggenheim Bilbao?
There's no fixed weekly free day. Under-18s never pay, and on the last day of each exhibition there's a 50% discount from 16:00 to 19:00. The official table showed free entry for everyone on one weekend in October 2026.
What are the Guggenheim Bilbao opening hours?
Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00–19:00, and until 20:00 during Holy Week and summer. It's closed on Mondays, except summer Mondays and marked dates such as 7 and 28 December.
Is the joint ticket with the Fine Arts Museum worth it?
Yes, if you'll see both: €16 for adults, with four days to use it at the Fine Arts Museum (Bilbao Museoa). Check the Guggenheim's price for your date first.
Do I need to book Guggenheim tickets in advance?
You don't have to: the ticket office sells them too, closing half an hour before the museum. If you're going independently, buy only from the official website, because the museum itself warns about fraud and doesn't refund issued tickets.
