Free slots and the temporary shows

The museum's free slots are Mondays from 12:00 to 16:00 and Saturdays from 21:00 to 23:00. Ask at the ticket office which temporary shows are covered by each. All the conditions are in Thyssen free hours.

The museum estimates about two and a half hours for a visit, and about 50 minutes more with the ground-floor show.

Buy a timed ticket for the ground floor

The ground-floor temporary shows need an entry time to control capacity, and the museum recommends buying ahead. If you're skipping them, the ticket has no time and is valid all day. For the rest of your visit, see Thyssen artworks.

Are exhibitions included in a Thyssen ticket?

Yes. The €14 ticket includes the permanent collection, the Carmen Thyssen Collection and the temporary exhibitions available that day.

Do you need a time slot for Thyssen exhibitions?

Only for the temporary shows on the ground floor, to control capacity. If you're not seeing those, your ticket is valid all day.
