The free window before closing

From an hour before closing until 30 minutes before, you can get in free until capacity is reached. This applies only to tickets bought in person at the museum in that window, and not to groups.

Rooms start to clear 15 minutes before closing, so entering at the start of the window gives you 45 minutes, and at the end, 15. From November to February, with a 17:00 close, the window runs 16:00–16:30. That's enough for a quick look. To see the museum properly, pay for a ticket.

Who pays less

The €9 reduced ticket is for under-26s, retired people and pensioners, unemployed people, people with a disability and residents of Getaria. Up to age 18 you don't pay. Groups of more than 10 people and large families get 10% off.

Reaching Getaria

Getaria is 25 km from San Sebastián, on the Lurraldebus UK10 bus. The museum has no visitor parking, but there are municipal spaces nearby and the harbour car park. Parking gets harder in summer, so leave extra time.
