Open Mondays, closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Check the day before heading to Hernani.

For an exhibition change, room 5 on the first floor of the farmhouse closes from 12 to 15 November 2026; the whole first floor closes on 16 November 2026; and on 13, 23 and 27 November 2026 the farmhouse closes from 10:00 to 15:00.

Before you set off

It's in Hernani, not San Sebastián. A bus runs every half hour from the centre and stops at the gate. Drivers get free parking.

The catch is the calendar: it opens on Mondays but shuts on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Hours are 10:00–17:00.

Direct from the museum, or cancellable on Tiqets

The difference is flexibility. The museum warns that it allows no changes or refunds. Tiqets lets you cancel up to the start of your time slot, which is worth having if your plans might change.

If you qualify for a reduced rate (€7 or €10), buy on the museum's website and make sure your rate appears.

Guided visits and other discounts

The guided tour costs €20 for adults, €6 more than the ticket alone. On Sundays at 12:00 there's an activity-based family visit in Basque for €7.

Coming from another museum? Keep your ticket. A recent one from the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum, the Centro Botín or the Museo Universidad de Navarra gets you 20% off the general ticket. The annual pass costs €40 and pays for itself in three visits.
