If the website says sold out

No dates online doesn't mean nothing's left. The ticket office at the Patio de Banderas holds back a very limited number of tickets for each 30-minute slot. It opens at 9:00, sells for that day only and serves whoever is in the queue, with their own ID or passport: nobody can buy for someone else. On busy dates, the Alcázar itself advises arriving an hour early. These tickets don't cover the Cuarto Real Alto or special activities.

The other route is a reseller. The official website says there's no waiting list, no early release of tickets and no channel beyond itself and the ticket office. Even so, Tiqets and GetYourGuide sell tickets and guided tours at their own mark-up, so look at their calendars before you rely on them.

The Cuarto Real Alto supplement

These are the rooms on the upper floor, on a separate €5.50 ticket. They suit you if you want to see the Alcázar as a royal residence and you're in no hurry. On a first visit with one morning, the palaces and gardens on the general ticket will fill your time. Buy it online, because the ticket office allocation doesn't include it.

The free Monday ticket

It appears in the official shop as one more product at €0, and it sells out. Check the website well ahead.

Three more visits on one ticket

The general ticket includes the Antiquarium under Las Setas, Casa Fabiola and the Museo de Cerámica de Triana, on the same day or the next. If you're going to Metropol Parasol, take your Alcázar ticket and drop down to the Antiquarium.

No changes, no refunds

The ID you enter when you buy is the one checked at the entrance. And a ticket can't be moved: no date change and no refund, even if the error was yours. Pick your slot once your trip is settled.

Frequently asked questions

How much are Royal Alcázar tickets?

The general ticket costs €15.50 and the reduced ticket €8, which is open to all nationalities. The Cuarto Real Alto is a €5.50 supplement.

When is the Alcázar of Seville free?

The official shop has a €0 ticket called “Lunes Gratuito” (Free Monday), booked online, and it can sell out. People born or living in the city of Seville, children up to 13 and some other groups get in free on any day, always with a ticket.

Can you buy Alcázar tickets at the ticket office?

Yes, from 9:00 and for that day only. Each person buys their own with their ID. In high season, the ticket office recommends arriving an hour before it opens.

Can I change the date on my Alcázar ticket?

Not on the official website: it allows no changes, cancellations or refunds, even if the mistake was yours.

What else does the general ticket include?

The Antiquarium, Casa Fabiola and the Museo de Cerámica de Triana, on the same day or the next, when you show your ticket.
