Free
With Articket, children up to and including age 16 don't pay if they're with an adult holding a pass. The Barcelona Card gives free entry to more than 25 museums and venues; children aged 4 to 12 have their own, cheaper card.
Booking
Articket needs no booking and has fast-track entry; at the Museu Picasso you go in on Carrer de Montcada, 23. It's valid for a year from purchase. The Barcelona Card can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before and activates on first use.

Three cards, three jobs

Articket gives you six art museums for €38, with a year to use it. No transport and no rush.

Barcelona Card covers more than 25 museums and venues and more than 70 discounts. The standard version comes with unlimited transport: €39 for 48 hours, €59 for 72, €69 for 96 and €79 for 120. The Essential, without transport, costs €29 for 72 hours.

Hola Barcelona is transport alone: €27.30 for 72 hours, at the regular price.

When each card pays off

Articket pays for itself with three museums: the Picasso at the ticket office (€13), MNAC (€12) and MACBA (€15) already come to €40. If fewer than three museums on that list are in your plan, don't buy it.

The 72-hour Barcelona Card costs €59. The 72-hour Essential plus the 72-hour Hola card come to €56.30, and that pairing does include NitBus and FGC.

Gaudí stays outside both

Neither pass includes the Sagrada Família or Park Güell. Casa Batlló and La Pedrera get €7 off with the Barcelona Card; at La Pedrera, from 14:00 only.

If your trip is about Gaudí, these cards aren't for you: buy single tickets or a combo from a reseller.

Check the free hours before you pay

Many museums on both lists are free on certain days. If your dates line up with a Sunday afternoon, the Picasso's Thursday or MNAC's Saturday, you can cover part of your plan without spending anything. Just note that Articket's fast-track entry doesn't apply during those hours.

Which museums does Articket include?

The Picasso Museum, Joan Miró Foundation, MNAC, MACBA, CCCB and Fundació Tàpies, with collections and temporary exhibitions. It's valid for 12 months.

Does the Barcelona Card include the Sagrada Família?

It isn't among the included museums, and neither is Park Güell. Casa Batlló and La Pedrera only get €7 off.

Does the Barcelona Card include the metro?

Yes, except the Essential version: metro, bus, tram, Rodalies trains in zone 1, the Montjuïc funicular and the airport journey. Night buses aren't included.

What's the difference between the Barcelona Card and Hola Barcelona?

Hola Barcelona is transport only, from 48 to 120 hours, and it does include NitBus night buses and FGC trains. The Barcelona Card adds museums.

Do you need to book with Articket?

No. You go to the fast-track desk at each museum. On free days and at free hours, the fast-track entrance doesn't apply.
