Morning or afternoon ticket
The self-guided visit costs €18 until 14:00 and €17 after. A euro isn't worth changing your plans for, with one catch: from November to March the site closes at 17:00 and last entry is 16:30, so an afternoon visit gets tight.
On your own, with audio or with a guide
On your own you get signs and room staff, and you'll be done in 45 to 60 minutes. The €4 audio guide adds historic photos and videos, which help because the interest here lies in the site's past as a hospital. The 75-minute guided tour costs €21 and leaves at 10:30 in English. If you have the time, it gets the most out of the place.
Reduced and free visits
Barcelona residents, 12 to 24-year-olds and over-65s pay €12.60 in the morning and €11.90 from 14:00. Under-12s with an adult can ask for a free self-guided visit at the ticket office, as can unemployed people with proof issued in Spain. Over-65s get the same on the first Sunday of the month. With these rates you're better off on the official website or at the ticket office.
There are combined tickets with La Pedrera and the Palau de la Música if you're touring the city's Art Nouveau buildings.
Frequently asked questions
Can you go inside Sant Pau hospital?
Yes: you visit the old hospital complex. The working health centre is separate, and this ticket has nothing to do with medical appointments.
How long does a Sant Pau visit take?
45 to 60 minutes on your own and 75 minutes with a guide.
When is Sant Pau free?
On 23 April, Museums' Night and 24 September. There are no guided tours on those days. Under-12s with an adult don't pay for the self-guided visit.
