The general price is the same at the ticket office and online. The over-65 and disability rates, and the 20% for large and single-parent families, apply at the ticket office.
Opening hours
Opens at 10:00. Closing varies: the city guide gives 16:30 on weekdays and 17:30 at weekends in autumn and winter, and up to 20:00 in summer. On 4 November 2026 it closed at 16:30, with ticket offices and entry until 16:00. Check your date on the Zoo's calendar.

Some weekdays end at 16:30

On autumn and winter weekdays the Zoo can close at 16:30, with ticket offices shutting half an hour earlier. Arrive after lunch and you'll have very little time left, and you can't leave and come back. Go in the morning and bring your own food: that's allowed, and there are picnic areas.

Buying at the gate or online

The general price is the same in both places. Over-65s pay €11.20 at the ticket office only, and large and single-parent families get 20% off on showing their card. If that's you, don't buy ahead.

Bear in mind that some areas are closed temporarily for improvements. The Zoo doesn't say which on its tickets page.
