Tickets are sold online or at the ticket office until 30 minutes before closing.

Three free days a year

Unless you're a CaixaBank customer, under 16 or a European Youth Card holder, you only get in free on 9 November, 15 May and 18 May. With a €6 ticket that covers every exhibition, it isn't worth planning your trip around them.

A plan for the Reina Sofía's day off

CaixaForum opens every day, public holidays included, until 20:00. The Reina Sofía closes on Tuesdays, so this could fill that day. The ticket office sells until 30 minutes before closing. On 24 and 31 December and 5 January it closes at 18:00.

Guided visits

According to Madrid's official tourist board, the guided visit to the exhibitions costs €4 for adults, and the one to the building and garden costs €3. Check the centre's calendar before you go.
