Get your free ticket before the slot starts

Free tickets are issued on the museum's website until capacity is reached. Online sales stop at 14:30 on Tuesdays and 18:00 on Sundays, before each slot begins.

With children, Sunday evening is tight: an hour and a half, ending at closing time. Paying on a Saturday gives you more room.

What children pay

Unlike at the Prado, under-18s pay here: the reduced ticket applies from age 4 to 18. Large families and single-parent families get in free, until capacity is reached. Discounts can't be combined, and a ticket can't be changed or refunded once bought.

Under-14s can't go in without an adult.

From 1 July to 14 September

On those dates it opens only from 10:00 to 15:00, and there are no free slots. It also closes at 15:00 on 24 and 31 December.

The Evolución exhibition runs until 28 March 2027. More family outings are listed in museums for kids in Madrid.
