Park Güell tickets
Timed entry: stay as long as you like, but once you leave you can't go back in.
As of 4 November 2026 there are repair and lighting works: the path between Coll del Portell and the Forat del Vent stairway is closed, as is the way from Casa Trias to the Viaducte de Dalt. The official website advises against arriving via the Vallcarca stop because the escalators on the Baixada de la Glòria are out of service.

Twelve hectares, and one crowded corner
Your ticket covers the 12 hectares of the regulated zone. The 8 hectares of forest are outside it. Inside there's a high-concentration area: Nature Square, the Hypostyle Room, the Laundry Room Portico, the Dragon Stairway and the Austria Gardens. Those spots have a second check, a one-way route and possibly a wait, so go there first and wander the rest afterwards.
Thirty minutes of leeway
You have 30 minutes from the time on your ticket. There's no time limit inside, but if you leave you can't go back in. The first slot is at 9:30. The last one varies with the season and in November it's 17:30, so a winter afternoon doesn't give you much.
The recommended ways in are Carretera del Carmel, Calle de Larrard and Avenida del Santuario de San José de la Montaña, with escalators.
The official website has one advantage: you can change the day and time up to the day before, if there's capacity. Many reseller tickets can't be changed or cancelled, so check before you pay.
If Park Güell tickets run out
- Try other dates. The official website sells up to three months ahead, so look at other days of your trip and every time slot, not just the one you had in mind.
- Look for a guided tour. The official one runs in groups of up to 25, in Catalan, Spanish, English or French. Resellers' tours can have different availability.
- Don't rely on the gate. Without an advance ticket, nobody guarantees you'll get in at the time you want.
- If you live in Barcelona, ask for the Passi Verd that same day: it can't be booked ahead.
- Swap to another Gaudí. Casa Vicens or the Colònia Güell can take that slot.
Who doesn't pay, and the hours you can't use
Children aged 0 to 6 go free, with a €0 ticket you still have to bring. So do people with a disability and holders of the Tarjeta Rosa. The companion of a person with a disability pays €13.50.
Going very early or late won't save you the ticket price: from 7:00 to 9:30 and from 18:00 the park is reserved for neighbours and Passi Verd holders.
Frequently asked questions
How much are Park Güell tickets?
General entry is €18. Children aged 7 to 12 and over-65s pay €13.50. Ages 0 to 6 don't pay, though they still need a €0 ticket.
Is Park Güell free?
Not for tourists. Entry is free for people registered in Barcelona with the Passi Verd, for neighbours with a card and for some other groups. The forest area is outside the regulated zone.
Do you need tickets for Park Güell?
You can try without one, but the official website doesn't guarantee you'll get in at the time you want, especially in high season. Entry is limited to 1,400 people an hour.
What if I'm late for my Park Güell time slot?
You have 30 minutes from the time on your ticket. After that you lose the right to enter.
Can I change the date of my Park Güell ticket?
On the official website, yes: up to the day before, if there's capacity. You won't get a refund unless something unforeseen comes up, and those requests are judged one by one.
